i’ve been continously in bad luck…
yesterday…
I came to a presentation of Electronic Arts ( if you play video game, you must know this giant in the gaming industry ) to find out any job opportunities that they offer. Right now they are looking for full time positions and they are going to have an interview today with some preselected people. I didn’t know what happened in the begining coz i came late but the rest of the presentation was kinda ok, not very enjoyable, coz i thought they are going to show some of their lastest products along with their technology or stuff like that — or maybe they did show it in the begining. I like the speaker tho. Phillip, his name, looks very smart and funny. I guess he is American-Philippine born or American-Chinese, just alike. I dropped off my resume at the end coz Phillip said he would take a look at it later if someone missed the online postings. There were many grad students attending. I thought he never got back to me, but he actually did. I didn’t catch him on the phone when he tried to call me coz my phone was on silent. I got his voice msg with the invitation to the interview today at 2:00-2:30 or 2:30-3:00. Gosh, that’s lucky. But unluckily :(, I have a midterm around that time and either time is not good. i emailed him back and asked him if he’s good sometime in the morning. Unfortunately, his interview schedule is full. Too bad, he gets back to me and askif i want a phone interview with him after 5 weeks when he finishes his campus visit around the states. yea, better than nothing.
…and today
man , i gotta say that my OS scripting midterm today sucks !!!. We had only 2 hours to finish 4 tasks, except for the 1st one, the rest of them are just time consuming. I was almost screwed up by the 3rd one but thx God it didn’t take me long to get over it. But the last is just a pain. I got half of it done only, the main part is just so irritating because it requires lots of I/O work to finish it. And there’s no way to do it under that pressure while you have only 15 min to finish something that is expected to be done nicely in ~1 hr. Man, i figured it out in the last 15 mins and i wish i had had more time ….I did the best that i could in hope miracle could happen. But…I just hate doing these kind of tests when the prof was about 15 min late plus 10 min for giving the instruction and still collected the paper at the right time without giving any extension.
Never mind, it’s over. hmmm. need to get back to my lab report and get the study guide ready for the Lab tomorrow. Then go home and take some sleeeeeep.
