This crazy quarter is almost over, 2 more weeks to go. I’ve been stressed out the entire time, stayed in labs more frequently than at home, and had KFC or McDonald grilled fish and burgers more than my regular home-made rice (”I’m loving it !!!!”). Guess it’s time to refresh myself during this coming break. Looking forward to it.
Also, gotta swear to those who provide online phone cards. Such a bad business they do. Not even give me a good connection whatsoever. Just useless.

This is sooo fast. I read a news this morning about a soon-to-be-released feature of Gmail that allows users to chat w/ their friends right at their webmail browser without a need to install Google Talk. And , it’s gone live couple hours ago. No doubt, this is so awesome. Another typical AJAX-based feature of Google in web application…Just imagine if you are bored at the airport and want to chat w/ your friend real quick. But those stupid PCs at the internet service kiosk don’t let you download/install Y!M or any chat applications. I know you will be yelling how foolish i am because there are still lots of web-based messengers out there allowing you to connect to Yahoo, AIM, MSN, and blah blah blah. But what if you just access your Gmail account and the chat section right there, as opposed to opening multi browsers as one for mail box, one for messenger, and needless to say its accompanied pop-ups. Technically, you’ll also experience the speed a lot better than other messengers. Perhaps Gmail must be a the first choice right?
Let me make it clear that i’m not advertising here or sort of convincing you here because I was not a big fan of Google Talk either. I don’t like its poor interface and not many of my friends is using it (I’m using YIM most of the time btw). But to be honest, Google Talk does do its job as providing a handy and light weight application to people who demand to purely communicate without a need of fancy graphics or powerful built-in components. Last week, i gave it a shot as using Google Talk to talked to my brother in Vietnam where ADSL doesn’t mean “ADSL” per se and the incredibly good quality throughout the conversation just turned me to this cool application. YIM voice sometimes did let me down as its quality goes down so bad during peak time though they’ve been making progress on it lately…
I think, however, I’ll stick w/ Google Talk if more of my friends join in and they continue to keep this simple style in the future.

you woke up tiredly this morning and rushed to the bathroom for a quick shower…no wonder why your body smelled so bad, your hair was so sticky and oily resulting from your laziness due to the weather. Whistling happily in the shower and thinking of stuff you’ve planned have been nailed down partly. you didn’t care about the time though it was 8 already and it’s gonna take you 7min to wipe snow off your car and another 15min to get to the 8:30 class (not mentioning about the time to put clothes on though)…who cares…
you skipped your regular breakfast with a cup of vina coffee, toasters w/ peanut butter, and a glass of vitamin D milk coz you knew you could stay awake for the first class then you could feed yourself w/ some coffee and donut to fight for the second one…the first one was boring…but wasn’t sleepy yet…
…feeling better….
Class time’s over !!! Breakfast !!!!! You finnally set your steps at the cafeteria for a chocolate donut and a 70-cent-large capuccino at the vending machine. You showed a smile of a hungry man seeing a big fest and chatted w/ some folks…
2nd class started…
Donut was so tasty though admitedly you didn’t like it before. Plus hot capuccino was good too. Your prof. up front was lecturing the linux stuff…and he was getting to the important parts…you knew it but it was coming…
