such a long flight but i wasn’t really as tired as the previous ones though i didn’t sleep that much. Spent most of the time reading news and stuff that i printed out before the trip. It was interesting reading a business week article that discusses the new media communication of how to bring popularity to your website by exposing “weird compell”, it then points out the two chinese boys who do lypsync of very popular songs (like backstreet boys songs) and become well-known. hahaha, they are my favorite one. I keep laughing so hard every single time i saw their clips. You can check them out here

Hmm, been trying to log on meebo or gmail but the browsers here at free internet service stand block all the javascript - suck. alrite, i’m gonna take a walk around here see if there’s something good to buy. See everybody at home

i sensed that green and grey colors are overused in many newly launched web 2.0 apps and even it influences traditional web as well. Techcrunch had been using dark and warm colors on its blog till last month, and since the begining of this month readers see green dominates its new theme. Am not sure it’s because i read techcrunch or other review sites so much and become influenced, but apprently as surfing many new systems i’ve seen familar colors in them.

After on going hesitance, I decided to install IE 7.0 Beta at least to examine my web application on the new browser and make sure everything looks as expected. However, it turns out a big disappointment of the new look and design. I have followed a couple reviews of the new version which mostly give positive feedbacks for the performance but not for the design or look and feel feature, and at the moment i am understanding how trustworthy those reviews are. As the matter of fact, the browser looks simpler with the menu bar ( File/Edit/Tools/Help) is removed and tabbing feature is added to enhance browsing capabilities. Essentially that makes more screen space to view the web. Those kinds of feature and enhanced security are great!
But personally i don’t like the flatten and Firefox-like copycat of the new version. Apparently, not mention about tabbing power of Mozilla Firefox, the line up of address bar and rectangular box for quick search looks exactly the same as well. I know that it looks disappointing at the first glance and i may get used to it later on, but don’t know why Microsoft chose this design - seem like Firefox Version X to me.
