Google crossing $700 border
It becomes real today after the Fed’s rate cut and a week of all down turns. Losing the biding war to Microsoft for Facebook’s stake didn’t really mean anything to Google’s investors. Congrats to those who owned its shares right in the first place. After rival Apple teamed up with AT&T for the revolutionary iPhone on their”slow” 2.75G EDGE network, Google’s now in serious talk with Verizon to subsidize it gPhone. This news though not official has proven the rumor is right. Google’s getting scary on this year Halloween. The company’s now having lots of capitals to win the auction of 700 Mhz spectrum. This is a powerful range in which radio signal can sustain its propagation over long distance, thus benefits the mobile devices in a variety of ways (stable bandwidth, wide coverage, low power consumption, etc…) . As the matter of fact, Apple is joining this auction as well.
UPDATE: it’s no longer correct. No GPhone, it’s Google operating system for mobile device instead.
