Hacking iPhone…OOOPS, it’s real

Rik Farrow, a UNIX guru, has demonstrated how he hacked the iPhone and fully taken over the device. He pointed out that not only iPhone but also other smartphones that work as computing devices still can be exploited in some ways. That’s so true indeed.

WiMax = 3G not 4G

ITU has announced early this week that WiMax is officially one of the 3G technologies. And besides the chip maker Intel, Cisco is also joining force to the development of WiMax across the globe…

That bangs everyone’s head. I thought it was a 4G technology and there’s no reason to see it fit in the 3G category. WiMax technology totally employs IP network for both voice and data services while other 3G technologies (including CDMA2000 and UMTS) still maintain circuit switch network serving voice traffic. It could be one reason that 4G is not standardized and still in its infancy compared to 3G that has been around for some years (but still hasn’t been fully deployed worldwide), therefore people have to adopt something to get it going.

Anyhow, no matter what it’ll become later on, I still think WiMax is very potential for our future wireless.

Uniqlo - A unique marketing campaign

Saw this one a few months ago and still find it interesting. Uniqlo clothing based in Japan. Here’s some more info:

Clothing says a lot, but you can say it better. UNIQLO designs, manufactures, markets and sells casual wear that can be worn by anyone, any day. Rather than dictate a look, UNIQLO provides people everywhere with the piece they need to create their own style. And style comes from within, which is why the UNIQLO logo is nearly invisible, tucked away inside the garment.
